"Babies Are Wildcards – But I’ve Got You Covered!"
Let’s be real — babies have their own little plans, and they very rarely match ours.
One minute they’re snoozing like a dream, the next they’re doing a full-body stretch and letting the whole world know how they feel. Hungry? Sleepy? Wide awake and ready to party at 3 weeks old? Totally normal. Completely unpredictable. And that’s okay.
So if you’re feeling a bit nervous about how your newborn will “behave” during your session — I hear you. Honestly? Don’t stress for a second. This is exactly why I run my newborn sessions in a baby-led way.
What does "baby-led" mean?
It means we follow your baby’s rhythm, not the clock. If they need a feed, we stop for a feed. If they’re wide awake and alert, we’ll capture those gorgeous curious eyes. If they’re sleepy and snuggly, we’ll ease into those dreamy, cozy poses. Every baby is different — and that’s part of the magic.
There’s no pressure, no strict schedule, and absolutely no need to apologise if things go “off plan” (spoiler alert: they probably will — and that’s completely fine!).
I’ve seen it all — and I’ve got tricks up my sleeve
This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been peed on, pooped on, rocked and shushed a hundred tiny humans into sweet slumber — and I’ve loved every minute of it.
I’ve learned to read the subtle signs your baby gives — when they’re close to sleep, when they need movement, or when they’re just not in the mood for a pose (and that’s okay too). I’ll work gently and patiently, giving your little one space to settle in their own time, while you can just breathe and enjoy the moment.
Come as you are — no perfect prep required
You don’t need to worry about how much sleep you got the night before, or if your baby cries during the session (they probably will at some point — that’s what babies do!). Just bring yourselves, and I’ll take care of the rest.
What we’re really capturing isn’t “perfection” — it’s connection. It’s the way your baby curls into you. The way your partner looks at you holding them. The way your whole world has changed, and you’re still figuring it out, but somehow it already feels like you’ve always known them.
You’ve got enough on your plate. I’ve got the session covered.
So if your baby decides to feed 3 times in an hour, or needs extra cuddles to settle — don’t worry. I plan for all of that. Every newborn session is built with space and softness in mind.
You just focus on soaking in those early days — and I’ll gently guide the rest.
See you in the studio (or on the sofa — wherever we’re making the magic happen!).
